Feeling Flight reinterprets the aerodynamics of insect flight in a way that engages the visual and kinesthetic senses. The piece is derived from scientific studies of the mechanics of butterfly flight.
Butterflies are an intermediary between heaven and earth; they begin their lives as homely, gravity-bound, crawling creatures and metamorphose into beautiful, light, flying beings that instill joy and wonder.
The mirrored tags flutter in the air, and creating the constantly changing, flickering illusion of flight.
