site-specific installation
Second part of two-part installation, Back & Forth (along with Oneiric Shelter). Hideout was a site-specific, participatory piece installed as part of the group show The BRIDGE at Peter Kirk Gallery in Kirkland, Washington, curated by Susan Purves.
Viewers could enter, lock themselves inside, and spy on the gallery through the ten wide-angle peepholes which studded the doors and walls of the structure. The closed in, paranoid space of Hideout, devoid of natural light, was the obverse of its open counterpart, Oneiric Shelter.
