A sequence of eighty slides is projected into a water-filled galvanized iron washbasin. The slides, depicting water in many different forms and states, suggest what the water — apparently contained and domesticated — might be thinking, as it allows us a temporary illusion of control.

The work grew out of my experience observing the comings and goings of my own thoughts and emotions during meditation.
